At your regular hygiene appointment, we’ll polish your teeth with your favorite flavor toothpaste and make sure your mouth is clean in all the nooks and crannies.
Using both traditional stainless steel crowns, and modern tooth-colored crowns we help protect a decayed or damaged tooth.
When a tooth has extended decay, disease, trauma, or may impede normal oral development, we’ll remove it and save it for the tooth fairy.
Silver Diamine Fluoride is a specific material application of fluoride. It is a minimally invasive treatment that helps stop cavities from progressing without drilling or numbing.
This material is made of the same calcium-phosphate minerals that already exist in your teeth, and can help rebuild weakened areas.
If you get a cavity, we fill it in with a tooth-colored resin that blends in with your other teeth, so no one will know the difference!
Sometimes a baby tooth falls out, but the big kid tooth isn’t ready to grow in yet. In that case, we use a spacer to save the spot for when you need it. This prevents overcrowding and may prevent the need for braces in the future.
During a pulpotomy, we remove the infected or inflamed part of a baby tooth’s inner pulp, treat the healthy part, and seal the tooth with a filling or crown. The tooth is saved until it naturally falls out, helping with chewing and keeping space for adult teeth.
We are specially trained to work with kids and have made all kinds of modifications to make their visits enjoyable. We tell, show, and do, so your child knows exactly what to expect in a way they understand. We also use distraction, rewards, positive reinforcement, praise, swaddling, and other techniques.
Sometimes the calm, twilight state, or sweet slumber of sedation will make all the difference to your child’s dental experience. In that case, I'll be around to count some sheep, and sing some lullabies.
Also known as "laughing gas," nitrous oxide is commonly used to make treatment more comfortable for little ones who feel anxious. It is inhaled through a mask and produces a state of relaxation throughout treatment. Once treatment is over, the nitrous oxide is quick to leave the system, so kids can enjoy the rest of their day as normal!
For children who may be uncomfortable, we also offer oral sedation options.
With privileges at Scranton Regional Hospital, we offer general anesthesia when needed.

If breast or bottle feeding is challenging, a tongue-tie or lip-tie might be limiting your baby’s ability to latch. Our gentle frenectomy procedure frees the tongue or lip, making nursing easier while also promoting better speech and eating as your child grows.
For frenectomies, we use a safe diode laser, which uses light energy to dissolve the tissue limiting the movement of the tongue, the lip, or both. Because there is no cutting involved there is little-to-no bleeding, and the laser sterilizes on touch to reduce infection. It’s over in a matter of minutes. Moms and babies are then invited to breastfeed while still on site.
We also work with a number of lactation consultants and your child's pediatrician; we offer a range of breastfeeding supports and services.
